A. Lange & Söhne as a watchmaker dates all the way back to 1845, where production continues where it once began in the hometown of Glashütte, Germany.  A. Lange & Söhne watches are amongst the finest luxury watches in the world, and are predominantly made of precious metals such as 18 carat gold or platinum, with their dials made either from finely crafted enamel or exquisitely worked silver.  All of their watches are made and completed entirely in-house. The watchmaker is widely known for producing chronographs and perpetual calendars a clean asymmetric design with hand finished and highly decorated movements.
