Founded by 2 men in 1904 called Paul Cattin and Georges Christian. 10 years later they opened up another factory and an assembly plant making it the largest employer in Hölstein. In the 1960's, Oris became one of the largest watch companies in the world, producing 1.2 million watches a year. Oris make all their watches in Switzerland and their headquarters stll remain in Hölstein.
