As an ambassador to Rolex and the youngest World Number 1 in the history of the ATP, he sported none other than the beautiful Daytona 116500LN on court with its meteorite dial. A nod to his meteoric rise to tennis stardom? Quite fitting for a young man who took the starlight express to victory! Whether it was written in the stars, the tennis galaxies aligned in the final defeating Djokovic in a five-set thriller, lasting four hours and forty-two minutes.

While other collections like The Pelagos are exceptional such as the recent 39mm edition in its titanium frame and the new Pelagos FXD Chronograph, The Black Bay collection is always dear to collectors' hearts due to its timelessness and incredible heritage.

Can we really be shocked about them becoming the largest manufacturer of finished watches in Switzerland since 1903? Furthermore, they are ranked within the top 5 luxury Swiss brands by overall revenue.

Omega has a reputation as long as the list of Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m models…which currently stands at nearly 150 iterations. They are the creators of the first minute repeater in 1892, the first movement resistant to 15,000 gauss (no wonder why the Milgauss was discontinued!) and their very own Master Chronometer Certification with COSC certification. Oh yes, they have METAS approval as well.

The Seamaster collection is the longest running line from Omega which stems all the way back to 1948. Originally designed for the Royal Navy, the collection has been optimised for the modern user with its classy ceramic bezel and highly distinguishable laser engraved dial face, pertaining to the waves.

Wimbledon saw Omega out in full force. None more so than an extremely personal gift from Princess Diana, late mother of Prince William in the form of the Omega Seamaster 300m. The brand was adorned by scientist Brian Cox who wore the legendary Speedmaster that has deep horological ties, established in 1957. Nothing says science like watches heading to the moon!

And this is in spite of their youthful inception back in 1999 with the support of none other than Audemars Piguet.

Their pieces tend to be a little out there but still lead to overwhelming demand compared to supply. Did you know Richard Mille only manufactures around 5,000 watches annually? This means these novelties are set aside for many high-end glitterati and famous wearers such as Cristano Ronaldo and Kevin Hart.

There’s a lot to be impressed by. The RM66 Flying Tourbillon Rock’n’Roll features a devil horned hand in the centre of the dial, The Le Mans RM 72-01 follows the exact colour scheme of the prestigious event while the RM Ferrari UP-01 features the thinnest movement ever made. A mere 1.75mm thick.

So, as the numbers keep on rising and the prices fly out of any man’s budget, it only makes sense that such timepieces would appear in the world of Wimbledon. Who better to wear Richard Mille than a man of great speed…no, not Tom Cruise but none other than Charles Leclerc.

As Richard Mille sponsors Ferrari in the F1 world, Charles Leclerc similarly falls under such a contract. As such, it makes sense that he would adorn the brand on his wrist.

Crafted out of grade 5 titanium, the RM 72-01 is the ultimate casual piece featuring a white rubber strap and just three numerals present on the dial at 3, 8 and 11 o’clock. This is in contrast to the usual 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock presentation.

Such an unorthodox dial face and its associations with limited availability due to it being a Richard Mille allows these watches to potentially be a hot investment piece. We recommend wearing a cream suit to work with the white rubber strap or taking things a step down with a simple white tee for those carefree days.
