The Annual Calendar Travel Time watch is a ruggedly masculine, down-to-earth style with a strong personality.

With traditional Arabic numbers, the face is charcoal grey with a textured surface designed to remind you of the case of an old camera.  The white gold Calatrava case is 41mm and the side of the case (11.07mm) has an elegant Clous de Paris hobnail guilloche pattern. The back of the case is transparent so you can see the movement.  It has a sapphire crystal case back and is water proof to 30 metres.  The watch comes with two interchangeable calf-skin straps - one in beige and one in black each with a fold-over clasp.

Under the 12 O’clock position, the name Patek Philippe appears with Geneve underneath, then the day and month apertures sit neatly next to each other.  Easy to read yet not too intrusive.  The time zone complication takes the place of the number 6, with the travel date aperture just beneath it.  The numbers have beige luminescent coating for easy reading in the dark.

For this reference, the company developed the new calibre 31-260 PS QA LU FUS 24H which links the calendar right into the time zone function.  The level of innovation in this new calibre resulted in eight new patent requests. This means that if the wearer is on the other side of the world, it will show the correct time and the correct day.  The calendar is actually controlled by the Travel Time function to make this happen. The power reserve for this calibre is 48 hours.

This is the first Patek Philippe watch to measure 1/10ths of a second.  They have used the calibre CH 29-535 PS but increased its frequency from 4Hz to 5Hz to allow for measurements of 1/10th of a second.  They then had to add another second hand as the sweep second hand wouldn’t do the job of displaying tenths of seconds.  Using the older calibre (from 2009) has retained some of the classic elements - for instance, it’s a manual wind.

With a 41mm dial and 13.68mm thickness, this reference is waterproof to a depth of 30 metres.  The watch has a dark blue face, breguet numbers, two subdials and a red second hand with matching red markers at each of the hour markers.  The strap is blue calfskin with a fabric texture and has red stitching that matches the red of the second hand and hour markers.  Although its smooth platinum case gives it a look of sophistication, there’s an underlying sense of fun, and even a nautical quality to it.

At the back of the watch is a sapphire-crystal so you can see the inner workings in all their glory.  However, there’s an alternative interchangeable solid platinum back that comes with the watch for times when you want the whole platinum look.

The stunning olive green ladies’ watch reference 7130R-014 is an update on the original reference 7130 which was brought out in 2011.  The rose gold case measures 36mm and a very slim 8.83mm thickness.  The bezel is set with 62 diamonds while the prong buckle boasts another 27.  The back is sapphire crystal so the mechanism is visible.  The strap is a beautiful matching olive green calfskin.

Most notably, (besides the diamonds), this watch face has the names of many cities around the perimeter from London and New York to Dubai and Sydney.  The 24-hour clock numbers change from white background to green background to denote day and night.  The 12 place is represented by a sun while the 24 place is held by a gold moon.  12 gold hour dagger markers are a step closer to the centre.  This enables the wearer to tell the correct time in any of the cities marked, instantly.

This watch has calibre 240 HU which is extremely slim at just 8.83mm and is self-winding.  This stunning timepiece is waterproof to 30 metres.  While beautiful enough to be called a dress watch, this piece is also for someone who travels a lot.

This reference has the nostalgic design of older timepieces.  It’s a reinterpretation of reference 5320 that was released in 2017.  This new version is white gold and has a gilded opaline rose gold dial.  The numbers are traditional Arabic with charcoal grey gold edging and white luminescent tops.

It’s a perpetual calendar watch with the day and month apertures appearing just under the 12.  In the lower half of the face, where the 6 would be, is a dial with the days of the month with a moon phase aperture above the centre of it.   It’s worth noting that the moon phase aperture needs a one-day correction - every 122 years.  There are two other apertures - one indicates day and night and sits between the 7 and the 8.  There other indicates the leap-year and sits between the 4 and the 5.

This beauty comes with an alligator leather strap that with a pattern of square “scales”  The white gold case is 40mm and 11.14mm thickness.  It’s waterproof to 30 metres, It comes with a  sapphire crystal back allowing you to view the workings, but also provided is  a white gold back so you can choose which look you want.
