International Watch Co., also known as IWC, is a luxury Swiss watch manufacturer located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Founded by American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones in 1868, who drew on the help of eminently qualified Swiss watchmakers. Through the use of modern technology and hydropower sourced from the nearby River Rhine, he was able to manufacture watch movements of the highest possible quality.
