Founded by Jean-Marc Vacheron in 1755 his company created the first complication in 1770 and nine years later designed the first engine-turned dials. It is noted that the silver pocket watch is the earliest known by Jean Marc Vacheron. Today the company produces about 20,000 time pieces per year. In 2015, during the manufacturer's 260th anniversary, Vacheron Constantin revealed the world's most complicated mechanical watch, named Reference 57260.
