CHRONO HUNTER RETAILER NEWSLETTER

It feels like we haven’t spoken since last year…

The last financial year that is. But just like the much-anticipated New Year’s Eve soirées, April brings with it some cause for celebration - at least on this side of the Atlantic.

Across the pond, however, the mood is as flat as the new Rolex Land-Dweller. More on that in a minute. With the implementation of President Trump's latest economic tariffs, the American luxury watch market may be waving a reluctant farewell—not just to European timepieces, but potentially to the vibrancy of the market altogether.

At least for a short period of time.

As for Chrono Hunter, things are ticking along with a flurry of fresh developments on the horizon, making us a trailblazer in the way consumers and collectors alike buy or sell a watch.

Let’s take a look at what’s been going on this month.

Start the clock.

Watches And Wonders 2025

If you’ve been keeping tabs on our Sold Watches page since last month’s update, you’ll have noticed a steadily expanding collection of remarkable pieces—each one finding a new wrist to call home.

So let’s talk about what we’ve all been waiting for—the unveiling of the latest horological masterpieces from our favourite Maisons and Manufactures.

From elegant evolutions of beloved icons to entirely new creations that push the boundaries of craftsmanship, this year’s offerings have not disappointed.

April has already delivered a stunning array of new timepieces, showcasing the latest from top-tier Swiss watchmakers. Among the standouts is the Rolex Land-Dweller, a completely new collection from the house of Hans Wilsdorf..

Vacheron Constantin’s Solarie made waves with its remarkable 41 complications, a feat of horological engineering that sets a new benchmark in luxury timepieces, offering complexities like a perpetual calendar, minute repeater, and tourbillon. A true marvel for the avid collector.

Patek Philippe continued to impress with their Quadruple Complication, combining the intricate features of a minute repeater, a perpetual calendar, a moonphase display, and a chronograph.

Each of these complications is masterfully integrated into the design, offering both form and function in a breathtaking package that pushes the boundaries of mechanical watchmaking.

OP's pastel accent dials bring a fresh, vibrant twist to their already popular collection, offering a sophisticated yet playful touch to this season’s offerings. And let’s not forget TAG Heuer, who came racing back with the F1 Solargraph and Carrera Plasma.

Simon Lazarus, Head of PR & Content for Chrono Hunter, before interviewing Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari and new CEO of LVMH watch division

At Watches & Wonders 2025, we didn’t just attend—we brought you closer to the action with exclusive insights on the ground in Geneva, from the leaders shaping the future of horology. Simon Lazarus, our Head of Content & PR, conducted one-on-one interviews with some of the biggest names in the watch world, offering a rare glimpse into the minds behind the timepieces we all admire.

Among those Simon interviewed were Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari, who shared the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon at just 1.85mm thick and his new role as CEO of LVMH watch division. For the second time, Simon sat down with Xavier de Roquemaurel, CEO of Czapek, to discuss the brand’s unique approach to combining tradition and cutting-edge design.

We also had the pleasure of speaking with Yvan Arpa, CEO of Artya, known for his bold and avant-garde approach to watchmaking and Hugues Souparis, President and CEO of Pequignet, who revealed the brand’s continued commitment to French Haute Horlogerie..

Finally, Simon caught up once again with Carlos Rosillo, CEO and Co-Founder of Bell & Ross, discussing the evolution of the brand’s iconic designs with the launch of the slimmer 36mm BR-05 Mother Of Pearl Steel.

These exclusive interviews are just a part of our ongoing coverage, providing you with direct insider knowledge straight from the leaders of the industry. Stay tuned for more insights, as we continue to bring you the latest from the watchmaking world.
