Yes, it’s that time of year again as we countdown with more anticipation than New Years at The London Eye, to one of the biggest luxury watch events in the timekeeping calendar.

Catering to every type of discerning enthusiast, extending to 30+ brands, seminars, talks and possibly a few cocktails and smoked salmon canapes, we take a minute (or two) to see what all the fuss is about.

And you won’t be disappointed, with some new names on the horological lineup to tickle you pink, white, green or any other coloured dial for that matter. From US brand Wilbur Watch Co. led by Jason Wilbur, nominated for a GPHG award to Ollech & Wajs, there will be micro brands and indie Swiss makers aplenty.

Besides, everyone wants a pizza the action if you get what we mean. We are of course referring to Studio Underdog. That was after near Moonswatch stampedes for owner Richard Benc’s Pizza Party timepiece that cleared their stand at British Watchmakers Day in March. Did we mention they are another newcomer to the swankiest horological party in town?

With many of the best British watch brands on show, there are also several newbies set to take to the horological stage…or grace the ballroom of the 5 star luxury Londoner Hotel at the beginning of November.

And the sun is very much rising in one particular watchmaker's eyes…that of new attendee Wilbur Watch Co who are making their inaugural appearance at this event. Eyes down for a second as we’ll give you a brief lowdown about what to expect from this new kid on the timekeeping block.

The unorthodox Wilbur may well be the Liam Gallagher of watches, but with an Oasis reunion set for 2025 after fifteen years out of the limelight, his and their time is most definitely now.

Established in 2019, he is one of very few US brands to utilise dedicated in-house movements within their novelties. It seems owner Jason Wilbur is America’s answer to Richard Benc.

As futuristic as Richard Mille and the timekeeper’s answer to Monet, the brand has already been recognised for their out of this world time-inspired LEO number thanks to a Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve (GPHG) nomination.

Yes, we all know how iconic the Zeitwerk is, by German giant A. Lange & Söhne with its jumping hour and minute numerals as well as continual force escapement. But Wilbur’s jumping hour movement, housed inside the limited-edition skeletonised LEO in titanium is just as impressive.

Every piece has been beautifully executed by hand by the main horological protagonist, from beginning to end. Trust us, this show of pure wrist art is set to be more popular than a Democratic Party National Convention.
