10 Of The Best Luxury Watch Events Globally For Dedicated Enthusiasts & Collectors
UPDATED OCTOBER 2024
Were we always so well swamped with watchmaking events?
Well, time can be both our friend and enemy! After the Quartz Crisis made its mark on the horological world and mechanical watches slowly started to creep back into horophiles eyeline, there was only one party which watch collectors and critics flocked to like timekeeping birds of a feather. And that was of course Baselworld.
Held in none other than the home of horology, Switzerland, in the current era, we are more than surrounded with trade shows and watch exhibitors, boasting the incredible talents of each horological manufacturer or top luxury brand.
Perhaps one of the biggest is Watches and Wonders. The guys over at SwissInfo seem to think the same as they’ve found that it's one of the biggest fairs with “Nearly fifty watchmakers are unveiling their new timepieces at Watches and Wonders”. That’s a big figure!
So, are all watch celebrations locked into Switzerland? Just how established are each of them? And, most importantly, which ones are the best luxury events to visit?
We can solve that question, beloved Timelords. Take time out today as Chrono Hunter discusses the top ten best luxury watch events globally for dedicated enthusiasts & collectors alike, as well as the specific locations and dates.
