Now what makes this watch so exciting compared to its design predecessor, the 2019 Omega Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 50th Anniversary? One little thing, Timelords. The classic Omega watch has its second hand coated in Omega’s very special moonshine gold concoction.

Following the exact design codes of the Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 50th Anniversary, the watch sizes up at 42mm in a Bioceramic case and subsequent black flourishes to compliment the gold. This is certainly a piece that got our pulses jumping! Mind you, we were tickled pink with the new edition of the Moonswatch.

This was unveiled in April 2023 in Las Vegas with an all new, all singing chronograph seconds hand with wait for it…pink lume. The dial layouts across these models are the same, with the classic two sub dial construction at 3 and 9 o’clock and a date aperture situated at 6 o’clock. Arabic numerals are extremely legible on the dial's face. The variety comes in the dial colours.

With the option to get a watch in either green, salmon, black, cream, cream (18K gold version) or navy blue, the options are endless. What’s our choice? Featuring a sun-brushed dial, the design codes hark back to the original vintage edition from 1972. The bulbous crown guards remain, but there are a few updates to the former Ploprofl. The bezel ring is now crafted out of sapphire, replacing the classic monolithic crystal.
