TOP 12 MOST POPULAR OMEGA SPEEDMASTER MOONWATCH REFERENCES TO BUY THIS YEAR

Hello, Timelords! We’re back again for another venture into the exciting world of Omega. However, this isn’t your ordinary brand run-down like we’ve done for big headliners like Grand Seiko (you can view that here).

Not at all. For this article, we will be discovering all the most popular Omega Speedmaster watches to buy this year. How do we put this simply? The line is perhaps the most influential collection in horological history for a number of reasons:

  • It’s the first watch worn on the moon
  • Worn by celebrity icons like Mark Knopfler and Tom Hanks
  • The watches were originally made for the racing world before they became NASA qualified in 1965.

As much as night follows day, we are so enamoured with the line that we published an article back in September 2023 on why the collection was so significant, named Examining The Iconic History Of The Omega Speedmaster.

We found that the original Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch was introduced in 1957 to suit the burgeoning world of racing. Named the Broad Arrow due to its wide, arrow-shaped hands, the models evolved in 1962 to be worn in space on the wrist of Walter Schirra during the Mercury Program.

But time moves on. Only one year later, the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch was NASA certified and represented the first timepiece to earn such a qualification. Then, in 1969, a horological bolt from the blue…Omega accomplished the impossible on the wrist of Buzz Aldrin.

Sure, getting the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch into space is an achievement on its own accord. However, placed on Buzz Aldrin’s wrist, the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch was the first ever timepiece to be worn on the moon. Now, the Speedmaster is the go-to model that has been used the most for NASA lunar missions.

Like Elvis and Queen Elizabeth II, The Speedmaster has swiftly become a cultural icon. Now, after a slew of limited edition, celebratory watches released in its honour, the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch has built up a huge portfolio to match a Beatles back catalogue.

Yes, we know money can’t buy us love. But they could buy an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch from Chrono Hunter’s exclusive network of retailers at the best possible price.

That being said, we've appointed ourselves the investigative keepers of time, eager to uncover the top 12 most popular Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch references to buy this year.

Covering Omega Speedmaster Moonwatches then and now, it’s about time we get into it!

The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch is usually known for its 40mm case sizing, designed to have enough durability and capability to battle against the lunar elements. As the years have rolled by, the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch has expanded out of a tool watch, and morphed into something more glitzy than Jay-Z rocking a Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime 6300G at the Grammys

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

Initially released in 2017, the Speedmaster line has developed into a dressy alternative due to the revamped 38mm case size. They’ve obviously been reading the memos on what the top luxury Swiss brands are doing, as small models are now de rigour among today’s enthusiasts.

Crafted out of Sedna gold, the Omega Speedmaster 38mm total 38mm x 14.7mm and are extremely luxurious due to their precious Sedna gold construction. Sedna gold is the Maison’s own concoction, designed in-house to mimic the radiant heat of the reddest planetoid, Sedna.

By influencing the classic rose gold material with a few materials like copper, these novelties offer a unique lustre akin solely to this desirable material.

Capable of reaching 100 metres of water resistance due to their fitted solid caseback,

they may have the sporting strength of an everyday timepiece. But the framed scale and crown relate to a much more luxurious design.

Totalling 52 diamonds with 1.5 carats, the horophile who likes his shoes black and hair combed may find this too much of a brash statement piece. However, the confident horophile who likes to be eye-catching has a gem with this beauty!

The dials are given a rich brown PVD shade, allowing the Sedna gold baton hour markers and hands to be clearly distinguishable. Given a thick strip of Super-Luminova through their centre, legibility is the order of the day.

Functional and easy to wear, we do like the triple chronograph sub counters, which are given unorthodox oval shapes, encrusted with diamonds along the periphery. The white backgrounds allow each scale to be clearly read at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock.

Beating at 4Hz, these watches are home to the calibre 3330 which has a weekend-proof 52 hour power reserve. Master Chronometer certified, the movements are guaranteed to have excellent longevity and persistent quality.

If you want to take one giant leap for mankind, you can buy an Omega Speedmaster 38mm at retail for £43,800 as of May 2024.

Bronze is becoming a very attractive prospect for many horophiles due to it’s beautiful properties and unique lustre.

Running back to 1885, the Chronoscope is a phenomenal feature of their portfolio. Later associated with the De Ville Chronograph collection back in 2007, the Chronoscope line references the Greek terms of “Time” and “Observe”.

Nowadays, The Speedmaster Chronoscope has developed into the truly spectacular world of bronze. They created the material in house, utilising 50% copper alongside 37.5% gold and a variety of rare materials such as palladium and silver to give the material its unique lustre.

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

Furthermore, it actually totals 9K gold, so it’s a perfect blend between bronze and gold. At 43mm x 12.8mm thick, the case size is quite large, but nothing that can’t be worn with a black suit, or your leather sports jacket when heading to the Grandstand.

The brushed case tops work well, and are chamfered down to allow the polished edges to be boasted. On the top is a chocolate brown bezel that’s fitted with a tachymetric scale in a tropical enamel material. Totalling 50 metres of water resistance, the models should not be worn in the sea or for any crazy tricks on a jet ski. We’d say a brisk shower at the most!

The equally bronze dial leans more to the darker side, allowing the golden Arabic hour markers and leaf shaped hands to be clearly distinguishable. We appreciate that the face may be a little confusing due to its many concentric rings.

The first ring refers to a telemetre scale, a tool used for measuring distance based on time, the second ring is a pulsometer which is perfect for measuring your heart rate, while the final two rings are tachymetric scales for measuring speed.

Splitting them are two opaline sub-counters that relate to a small seconds and 12 hour counter. Powered by the 9908 calibre, delivering a 28,800VpH and a 60 hour power reserve, this Master Chronometer certified number is ideal with a retro inspired tweed jacket or throwback leathers.

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope Bronze Gold 43mm at retail for £15,700 as of May 2024.

The name’s Professional…Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional.

Daniel Craig certainly shook and stirred a few heads in 2023 when he stepped onto the carpet to attend Planet Omega in New York.

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

Back in November 2023, the event welcomed the famed ambassador, Daniel Craig to flaunt his James Bond fashion tips. Of course, he had to bring out the horological big guns and in this case, it was an unreleased Speedmaster featuring a vibrant white shade.

It took until March 2024 for the Speedmaster to be presented to the world.

If you compare the legacy between the white-dial Speedmaster and the original Speedmaster models, the dimensions are extremely similar. Measuring 42mm x 13.2mm, they are built into the classic asymmetrical case that took to the wrist of Buzz Aldrin.

But the buzz this time round is not on the Moon but more on Alaska. Developing from the Alaska I prototype, this model was released as a solution to the rapid temperature changes in space. It combated this thanks to a tough anodized aluminium outer case and an oversized red thermal shield.

Why red? It’s the most reflective and heat resistant material shade colour

Furthermore, the all white dial wonder similarly reflects the heat presented by the sun. Talk about summer lovin. Now, back to the latest Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. The asymmetrical case is circled with a black bezel and an engraved white tachymetric scale.

We particularly like the white colour that allows the black baton hour markers and hands to visibly counter the light shade, especially since they are all coated with Super-Luminova. The red thermal shield of the Alaska I is spotted on the tip of the seconds hand and Speedmaster text residing under 12 o’clock.

There are the classic Speedmaster subcounters at 3,6 and 9 o’clock which offer excellent chronograph features. Vintage theme? Check out the dot over 90 on the tachymetric scale, as that’s a reference to the original Speedmasters!

The movement is nothing to sniff at either. Capable of resisting 15,000 Gauss (more than the 1,000 gauss discontinued Rolex Milgauss), the 50 hour power reserve and average 3Hz are acceptable and can last the distance.

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional at retail for £7,600 as of May 2024.

Turn your eyes away for a second if you are just looking to buy an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch sans whistles and bells. If you are sick of hearing about the great men that ran the Apollo 11 mission and are far more interested in the events leading up to the moon landing, the Apollo 8 inspired models are the best bet for you.

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

First, time for a quick history lesson. The Apollo 8 is the first ever shuttle to reach orbit in 1968 and circle the Moon ten times. Most importantly, they managed to return home safely! Who needs lunar landings when we can look at the moon from a space shuttle window?

The 44.25mm x 13mm timepieces are crafted into a fabulous black ceramic case. This material is both scratch resistant and very light, meaning the chunky build is not as obtrusive on the wrist.

Fitted with a black bezel, this has a tachymetric scale, linking to the original racing heritage of the Speedmaster. The 50 metre water resistance is certainly not capable of dealing with the sea, but it’s a perfect number for coping with gentle splashes if you want to flaunt it poolside.

The skeleton dial aesthetic allows the movement to only be viewed around the edge of the face, but the central plate is inspired by the moon's surface and craters. Recording time is done via the black baton hour markers and hands, while the jolts of yellow on the seconds hand and sub counters add attractive pops of colour.

Complemented with triple chronograph sub counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, the Dark Side Of The Moon Apollo 8 uses a Saturn V shuttle at 9 o’clock as a replacement for the normal hand. All of this is powered by the 3869 calibre. The Master Chronometer movement provides a 50 hour power reserve and 28,800VpH.

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon Apollo 8 at retail for £13,500 as of May 2024.

Omega and The Olympics are more intertwined than George Clooney and Nespresso

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

They released a very special Seamaster Paris 2024 Olympics’ Edition in time for the 33rd edition, fitted with a Moonshine gold bezel and caseback.

Incorporating the famed Olympics torch, this isn’t the first instance where they have celebrated the phenomenal event. Since 1932, they have stood by the Olympics as the principal source of accurate timekeeping.

Throughout the years, they have released models like the Pyeongchang 2018 collection which was designed for the 2018 Olympics Winter Games. There’s even a specialised Olympic Games Tokyo collection that was released back in 2020.

For 2024, the Speedmaster Chronoscope revitalised a classic variation of the Speedmaster, and gave it some of that sporty zing. Introducing gold for the first time ever to the line, the 43mm x 13mm timepieces have more speed than Usain Bolt. Versatile and seamless from boardroom to beach, there is enough size to warrant this as a very durable watch.

The asymmetrical case design is very desirable as it pertains to the classic Speedmaster design. Surrounding the sapphire crystal is a pitch black bezel, showcasing a gold filled tachymetric scale on the anodized aluminium insert for optimal readings of speed.

Now, to the dial! The opaline shade offers a dramatic contrast to the black and Moonshine gold material. However, the Moonshine gold theme is kept via the Arabic hour markers and hands. This sits nicely alongside the indices and hands on the dual black subcounters at 3 and 9 o’clock.

These subcounters aren't just for show either. They actually entitle you to small seconds and chronograph readings, while the central circles cutting through the centre of the face relate to a telemetre scale and pulsometer. Will you use them? Maybe not, but will you dive 300 metres with a Rolex Submariner or 1200 metres with the Ploprof?

Inside the Moonshine Gold material, the timepieces are fitted with the calibre 9909. This provides a fabulous 60 hour power reserve which is enough for a weekend jolly. Master Chronometer certified, the Chronoscope has a solid caseback, showcasing a large Paris 2024 emblem engraving and accompanying Olympic logo. In terms of best Omega Speedmaster Moonwatches, this one deserves a place on any horological podium.

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope Paris 2024 at retail for £30,900 as of May 2024.

It’s rare to see a timepiece become synonymous with a person. There’s the early Rolex Daytona with Paul Newman and the golden Rolex Daytona 116508 John Mayer

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

So when we drop the name Ed White in with the Speedmaster Calibre 321, we do so safe in the knowledge that he has earnt such an association. Let’s get specific for a minute…

During NASA’s Gemini 4 Mission way back in 1965, it would fall on the shoulders of astronaut Ed White to take the initial steps in America’s first spacewalk. On his wrist was the fabulous Speedmaster Calibre 321. No need for a countdown yet.

The timepiece has been under development since 1942, and the calibre quickly became one of the most respected chronograph movements of its era due to its accuracy and solid as a rock construction.

Towards the start of the 1960s, NASA started to begin experiments and tests on various models to choose a suitable model. NASA eventually came across the Calibre 321, wherein it instantly stole their hearts. Fast forward a little and the model was worn by NASA astronauts, Ed White and later Buzz Aldrin on his moonwalk in 1969.

The calibre’s production was stopped in the 1970s, but they have taken to revitalising the collection in the modern era. Measuring 39.70mm x 13.7mm, the cases are crafted out of steel and inspired by the classic 3rd generation Speedmasters, worn in 1965.

The case is framed by a black bezel ring that uses a ceramic insert and tachymetric scale in white enamel. The step dial is equal black and utilises vintage style lume in order to project the baton hour markers and sword tipped hands.

At 3, 6 and 9 o’clock are recessed sub counters, relating to chronograph functions, such as a 30-minute and 12 hour counter. Beating within is fabulous Calibre 321. Re-imagined and updated, it still retains its famous manual-winding chronograph aesthetic and column wheel mechanism.

It’s fitted with a Breguet balance spring and utilises a PVD finish of 18K Sedna gold. It provides 55 hours power reserve and a rather poor 2.5Hz frequency. Then again, this is essentially a vintage movement!

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster Calibre 321 (Ed White) at retail for £14,500 as of May 2024.

In the 1970s, this Swiss brand managed to solidify their status as the ultimate lunar watch, not just as a top timekeeper, but as an essential, lifesaving tool.

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

During Apollo 13 in 1970, the oxygen tank exploded, meaning the very important service module was subsequently rendered unusable. Therefore, the astronauts had to try and navigate back to earth by using a fuel burn of exactly 14 seconds time.

The onboard clock had stopped working, meaning command module pilot Jack Swigert had to use his Speedmaster to work out the time. It was successful and they safely landed back on earth.

Great timing you might say, but following their landing (and probably a strong cup of coffee), NASA had a newfound love for the legendary Speedmaster. Therefore, NASA presented this exceptional Swiss watch brand with the Silver Snoopy Award, handed to under 1% of NASA staff per year.

The Snoopy reference, the very same cartoon dog on the Schultz Peanuts comic strip, is the award’s mascot. Who would have thunk a cartoon pooch had so much timekeeping power? NASA astronaut Thomas Stafford presented the Silver Snoopy award to their technical manager Hans Windmer in 1970…and the rest, as they say, is history.

To celebrate the special occasion many years later, the Speedmaster Anniversary Series - Silver Snoopy Award celebrates 50 years of the award in 2020.

The 42mm x 14.5mm timepieces are physical recognitions of the incredible achievement earned by NASA. Crafted out of stainless steel, the timepieces are framed by a beautiful, navy blue ceramic bezel.

Equipped with a white enamel tachymetric scale engraving, pertaining to the original racing heritage of the Speedmaster, we like the silver step dials, utilising blue PVD baton hour markers and interjected with a thin black minute track.

Given a tip of Luminova at their heads, the blue hands use Luminova in a thin strip through their centres. For the three sub counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, they have blue backgrounds and white markers. However, for the sub-counter at 9 o’clock, there is a silver, embossed Snoopy medallion with “50th Anniversary” text above it.

If you flip the watch over, you'll be presented with a NAIAD LOCK caseback. This showcases a moon image that’s been decorated via micro-structured metallisation. In addition, there is a funky, animated Snoopy riding in his spaceship that rotates in conjunction with the chronograph functions.

The earth disc behind the moon rotates in sync with the small seconds counter. Skipping merrily away is the Master Chronometer certified Calibre 3861 with a 50 hour power reserve and protection of up to 15,000 gauss.

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster Anniversary Series - Silver Snoopy Award at retail for £10,000 as of May 2024.

Source - Omega

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

Totalling 44.25mm x 17.1mm, the timepieces are built into a blue ceramic casing. Omega’s heritage with ceramic runs back over ten years, wherein they’ve specialised in utilising the highly durable and scratch resistant material. Two-times lighter than steel, the hypoallergenic material is perfect for the modern horophile looking to off-set some of that chunky weight.

Furthermore, the timepieces are fitted with a blue ceramic bezel ring. For optimal legibility, the timepieces have opted for a Ceragold tachymetric scale. This is Omega’s own version of pink gold that offers a beautiful tint and clearly stands out from the blue.

For the dial, it’s crafted out of blue enamel aventurine glass and given a star aesthetic, pertaining to the moonlight journey of the timepieces. For legibility, the baton hour markers are made out of Sedna gold, just like all the fabulous hands, including those on the subdials.

Fitted with subcounters at 3 and 9 o’clock, they refer to the chronograph functionality of the models. At 6 o’clock is a moonphase disc that’s crafted out of blue enamel aventurine glass. The moon is crafted out of Sedna, offering a beautiful contrast to the blue starry sky.

Within the ceramic is a rapid heartbeat, named the 9904 calibre. Certified as a Master Chronometer movement, the watches provide a brilliant 60 hour power reserve and hardy 4Hz frequency. If you are feeling a little sick of flying through space and time, twist over the timepiece to reveal a sapphire caseback, boasting the Geneva wave patterns on the movement.

The Speedmaster Super Racing is the final boss of calibre superiority. So when we say technical Einstein’s, what exactly are we referencing?

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

They created movements that offered a phenomenal level of resistance to Gauss, up to 15,000 to be exact. Achieving Master Chronometer status back in 2015, the timepieces represent the technical pinnacle of watchmaking. However, the greatest leap  in the technical world can be attributed to the Spirate System.

This genius hairspring ensures a phenomenal accuracy rating of between -0/+2 seconds per day. Sorry, Rolex. Your Master Superlative Certification of -2/+2 is good, but it’s not a patch on this!

Fitted into the fabulous Super Racing model, the watches utilise a Spirate system that has a silicon hairspring with a niche tuning mechanism to ensure exceptional levels of precision. Totalling 44.25mm x 14.9mm, the steel watches yield a 50 metre water resistance.

Astride the box-shaped sapphire crystal is a rounded ceramic bezel that has an engraved yellow Grand Feu enamel tachymetric scale. With its mysterious pitch black dial that uses a honeycomb pattern, this is achieved via a DLC lower plate that's laser etched. But there’s nothing spooky going on here but could easily go with an outlandish Halloween outfit

Supported by applied hour markers and hands, they have thick strips of yellow lume running through their centre. Fitted with chronograph counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, the 12 hour counter at 3 o’clock is functional, but the small seconds counter utilises a black and yellow hand as per the colour scheme Don’t miss the date aperture at 6 o’clock!

Fitted with a 9920 calibre, the timepieces are Master Chronometer certified which yields a 0/+2 seconds per day. Providing a 60 hour power reserve and a rapid 28,800VpH, the watches are speedier than Speedy Gonzales and have immense longevity.

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster Super Racing at retail for £11,000 as of May 2024.

The Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonshine Gold is fundamentally an ultra-luxurious watch. Nevertheless, it’s received a lot of criticism due to it fighting the classic steel design.

For those waxing lyrical for a tick about the good old days of the classic steel Speedmaster, take a look at the celebratory Speedmaster Moonwatch Apollo XI from 1969 that came in yellow gold.

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

In the same vein, The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonshine Gold shows that gold is still hot horological property!

With a 42mm case diameter and a thickness of 13.18mm, the watches retain a lot of the signature dimensions that made the original Speedmaster so desirable. The end 47.5mm product is an excellent size, particularly in a world where chunky luxury sports watches comprise everyday timepieces, and can be passed off in the office as part of your debonair attire.

The chamfered lugs and polished edges make up the dressy feel of the models, but the thorough brushing from the case tops and bracelet links are definite ties to the inherent sportiness.

Contrasting the gold case is the dark green frame that features a ceramic insert and golden, engraved tachymetric scale. On the edge of the case are two golden pushers either side of a crown that's large, but fitted in well into the case sides.

The face is given a rich green shade that offers a fabulous sunray brushed aesthetic. This works well with the applied hour markers, lume tips and golden hands with a strip of luminescence through their centre.

In the centre is a recessed triple chronograph configuration, pertaining to the classic lineup of the Speedmaster. Given golden markers and hands, they are legible and stand out clearly from the dial. How would we compare this delightful green shade?

Closely comparable to the sublime Vacheron Constantin Traditionelle with its olive shade, we would even put this in the same bracket as the famed John Mayer Rolex Daytona 116508!

Flip the timepiece over to view a sapphire crystal and surrounding text, “THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON”. The 3861 movement is finished well, including Geneva waves and classic circular graining. It provides a 50 hour power reserve alongside a 15,000 gauss resistance and 21,600 VpH.

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Moonshine Gold at retail for £40,300 as of May 2024.

Plus, if the whole lunar history is a bit too much for you, how about we go even further back and take you to the classic Speedmaster from 1957.

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

To celebrate 65 years of the classic Speedmaster in 2022, the outstanding Speedmaster 57 was smaller and is a fabulous option for horophiles looking to buy an Omega with a more dressier alternative. Totalling 40.5mm x 12.99mm, the models are built into a symmetrical case and feature polished lugs.

Like the classic models, the faces are framed by a steel tachymetric scale which is given a brushed finish. There’s no modern ceramic bezels here, we’re talking old-school, vintage aesthetics for this timepiece. The scale is laser engraved and then laser coloured which ensures it’s top notch legibility. Yes, the classic dot over 90 remains steadfast to its purpose!

Fitted with dual pushers on either side of the crown, the watches retain their functionality and work in conjunction with the chronograph sub counters at 3 and 9 o’clock. Water resistant to 50 metres, the watches are not very splash proof but this is a racing watch after all, not a dive watch

The dials are fitted with broad-arrow hands, as per the classic “Broad-Arrow” Speedmaster watches from 1957. Given a black background, the finish is given a grainy, sand-blasted aesthetic for that minimalist design.

Coated with vintage radium lume, you can find this against the baton hour markers and hands. Fitted with two recessed sub counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, the watches have a date aperture based at 6 o’clock.

Inside the steel case lies the 9906 calibre. Master Chronometer certified, the watches have a 28,800VpH alongside a 60 hour power reserve giving you enough leeway to make it for that business trip and still be back for the Monday morning latte.

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster 57 at retail for £8,600 as of May 2024.

Like a perfect coffee, the Speedmaster Calibre 321 Canopus Gold is the essential blend of their most contemporary materials, linked with the most influential, classic watches and calibres in the industry.

Best Place To Buy A Luxury Watch  Best Place To Sell A Luxury Watch

Inspired by the classic CK2915-1, the Calibre 321 represented the first time the tachymetric scale was fitted onto the outer ring and not on the periphery of the face. Fitted with a symmetrical case and locked in with solid lugs, this is the legend that Sir Lancelot would have been proud of. We are referring to the fabulous Calibre 321.

Celebrating 65 years of the legendary collection, this timepiece is crafted out of 18K Canopus Gold. This material was crafted in 2015 and is inspired by an 18K white gold alloy. The material is inspired by Canopus, the star that's around 10,000 times brighter than our measly sun.

At 38.6mm x 14mm, the watches are only capable of reaching 60 metres of water resistance. They are surrounded by an external steel tachymetric scale that features a Grand Feu enamel and a dot over ninety like those classic models.

For this model, take a look at the black Onyx dial that uses an applied vintage brand logo and classic typography, alongside the original “oval O”, seen on the CK2915 models.

Fitted with 18K white gold hour markers and Broad Arrow hands that are given Canopus gold PVD treatment, the faces are also fitted with triple chronograph sub-counters at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. This incorporates a small seconds display, 30-minute counter and 12 hour recorder.

Want another surprise? Twist this beauty over to expose a sapphire exhibition caseback, revealing an engraved Seahorse emblem and a blue sapphire eye. Powered by the Calibre 321 which runs at 18,000VpH it provides a weekend-proof 55 hour power reserve.

You can buy an Omega Speedmaster Calibre 321 at retail for £86,100 as of May 2024.
